Polar ring galaxies
Description
The geometric properties of the dark halo in polar ring galaxies are studied. The S0 disk is used to define one principal plane of such a galaxy, and the dark halos are investigated in terms of rotation curves, stable and massless rings, transient rings, and self-gravitating rings. Whether polar rings are stable or are transient structures is considered. 30 refs
