Conversion Electrons of Yttrium Isotopes

  • 1. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna (Russian Federation)

Description

The spectrum of conversion electrons of yttrium isotopes was studied using a β-spectrograph with a permanent magnet and photographic recording. Yttrium isotopes were obtained by irradiating metallic niobium with protons with an energy of 660 MeV and isolated radiochemically without a carrier. Sources of radioactive γ were prepared by electrodeposition onto a platinum wire with a diameter of 0.1 mm. Studies of the spectra of conversion electrons were carried out in the energy range from 20 to 900 KeV with a resolution of 0.08%
