Nuclear quadrupole resonance in inorganic chemistry

Description

A review is presented of the applications of nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) to study various classes of inorganic compounds. The introductory chapter is concerned with general aspects of NQR spectroscopy. It presents the most widely used theoretical background for the interpretation of NQR data and describes briefly the recording techniques. The latest advances, trends, and potentials of the method are also discussed. Separate chapters consider complex ions, donor-acceptor complexes, bridging dimers, chain and layer polymers. Structure, electronic and other important properties of the compounds are discussed in terms of the NQR results. 58 tabs., 51 figs., and 556 refs. are included
