Influence of saccharose concentration on their liquid water absorption spectra

Description
The given article is devoted to study of influence of saccharose concentration on their liquid water absorption spectra. To test the proposed mechanism of relaxation absorption of ultrasonic waves in aqueous solutions of nitrates of single and double charged cations, the absorption of ultrasonic waves in viscous solutions has been investigated. The viscosity was varied by changing the concentration of saccharose in solution. The experimental results obtained allowed to propose that the high-frequency relaxation process in aqueous solutions of studied salts is associated with movement of ions and their interaction in the solution. The relaxation frequency decreases markedly with increasing viscosity. This work presents the results of an infrared spectroscopic study of the nature of changes in the structure of water when saccharose is introduced into it. Thus, the study of relaxation processes in viscous electrolyte solutions makes it possible to find out to which stage of the reaction the process under consideration belongs. If the relaxation process is associated with the diffusion of particles in a solution, then by varying the viscosity of the solution, one can shift the relaxation frequency towards low frequencies. The presence of a minimum of the half-width of the absorption band of a group of OH-water molecules, depending on its composition, can be explained by the formation of a clathrate-type structure, into the voids of which saccharose molecules fall. With an increase in the concentration of saccharose, the structure begins to break down, forming a disordered phase, approaching in properties to a regular solution. Infrared spectroscopy is one of the main methods for the analysis of organic compounds. Infrared spectroscopy is a special method for determining the structure of organic compounds.
