The extraction of uranium(VI) with 4,4'-decanedioyl-bis-(1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone)
Description
4,4'-decanedioyl-bis-(1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone) is one of a series of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acyl-pyrazolones chelate extractants synthesized recently. The mechanism by which the chelating agent extracts the uranyl ion is studied. The solid extracted complex is isolated from the solution. The composition and the structure of the solid compound are studied by elemental analysis, TG, DTA, IR, 1H NMR and its molecular weight is determined using mass spectra
