The industrial application of high energy radiation sources
Description
The growth rate of the industrial application of high energy radiation exceeds by far the average increase of the industry. Most applications are connected with the production or transformation of plastics. In Hungary, two industrial irradiation facilities exist: the facility for radiation sterilization of Medicor Works and that for heat shrinkables of the Electrical Insulation and Plastics Works. In the forthcoming years especially rapid development is expected in the radiation sterilization, crosslinking and surface curing industries. (author)
