Nonleptonic decays of charmed mesons and determination of weak interaction mixing angles
Description
By the U-spin property of SU(3), one important constraint is found on the generalized Cabibbo angles by the decay branching ratios of D0→K-π+, K-K+, and π-π+. A substantial deviation of GAMMA(D0→K-K+)/GAMMA(D0→π-π+) from unity would have a significant implication on the coupling of the charmed quark to heavier quarks of charge -1/3. (Auth.)
