Single-zero divertor
Creators
Description
A single-zero divertor is described. It contains a conductor, placed in a tokamak discharge chamber, and receprtor plates. The conductor is made in the form of a single-coil spiral in order to decrease the power consuption, to simplify the design and to improve the plasma filament stability. So, the conductor makes one revolution over the small pass-around of the torus per one revolution over the large pass-around of the torus. The receptor plates are located in the regions where the spiral conductor intersects the external and internal generatrices of the torus. The conductor is connected to the power sources so that current in the conducter runs in the direction opposite to current in a plasma
