Method of hyperspherical functions in atomic and nuclear physics

Description

Theoretical analysis of correlation interaction in different models of atomic physics, nuclear physics and physics of elementary particles is given. Main attention is paid to the method of hyperspherical functions which permits to describe collective effects. The application of this method to the nuclei in low-lying excited states and to the giant resonances is considered. Many-quark structure of nuclear systems is studied. 277 refs., 65 figs., 16 tabs
