Description
This report deals with the basis of the Moire method for strain analysis, crack edge rotation and crack opening measurement (COD determination) demonstrated here within the scope of the experimental fracture mechanics. The practical performance of new, simple methods, and how to generate a mismatch are described in detail. The advantages and disadvantages as well as the limits of the Moire method are shown and compared with different methods used in experimental deformation measurement. (orig.)
