Description
In this paper we present a framework providing a schematic map linking Safeguards problems or questions to imagery of spectral and spatial resolutions, and is intended to emphasize that it is important to 'use the right tool for the job'. There are many types of satellite sensors aloft, designed to address different problems - high resolution black and white imagery is not necessarily the best or most cost efficient data source for all analyses. The number and complexity of satellite sensors are growing quickly. It may be advantageous for the IAEA to consider various strategies to fully exploit the image data available in the future.
