Energy for tomorrow - realities and expectations

The report discusses realities and expectations of world energy needs and energy resources in 2020 in the light of the assumed population growth to 8-9 billions. In spite of the considerable development of renewable energy sources (sun, wind, biomass, etc.) and their significant absolute increase in the energy balance, their relative part at 2020 will be below 5%. Regardless of the great absolute increase of energy consumption, power generation and energy resources production, a significant improvement in energy supply of third world countries will not occur.
