Description

The interaction Lagrangian for neutral current interactions in the presence of weak, electromagnetic, and dual electromagnetic interactions is given. The strength with which the neutral current couples to its vector boson field is e, i.e., the same as the strengths with which the electromagnetic and dual electromagnetic currents couple to photon and dual (heavy) photon fields, respectively. Coupling constant g, which enters into ordinary (charge changing) weak interactions, can be related formally to e with e = gsin THETA, where sin2THETA = 1/6. Comparison with some of the experiments tends to support this simple unification scheme of weak, electromagnetic, and newly defined dual electromagnetic interactions rather strongly. (author)
