CT diagnosis of diseases of the mouth and pharynx

CT disclosed the anatomical structure of the mouth and pharynx excellently, and the value of CT was found not only in diagnosis but also in surgical and radiotherapeutic approach. In the oral cavity, however, a piece of metal for dental treatment may cause a great artifact. Practical image reading was shown as to each of the cases: lesions of the oral cavity, mandible, oral floor, and pharynx. (Ueda, J.)
