The structure and dynamics of the bi-polar nebula MZ-3
Description
High-dispersion observations have been made of the bi-polar nebula MZ - 3 with the Anglo-Australian telescope. The continuum from the core has been shown to be of atomic origin originating in an ionized gas. Three separate velocity components from this core are continuous with the velocities in the outer regions. A distinct tilt to the velocity curves from one side of MZ - 3 to the other is observed. Also from and around the core the Hα line has wings that are 2460 km s-1 in extent. (author)
