The U.K. multistatic incoherent scatter facility
Description
Incoherent scatter measurements have been made in the U.K. since 1962 with three different radar systems. This paper deals mainly with the most recent system, MISCAT, and describes some of the technical aspects of the radar and data processing equipment and the method of obtaining the ionospheric parameters by computer analysis. Some of the factors which affect data quality are discussed. (Auth.)
