Description
Tiron (pyrocatechol-3, 5-disulphonic acid) forms with rare earth elements stable and water-soluble complexes. In this study the solution of Tiron was applied as an eluent in ion-exchange separation process of rare earth elements. The investigation on separation of small quantities of heavy lanthanides (for example Ho, Dy and Gd) from yttrium were carried out
