Description

This paper is a guided tour of a selected portion of the beam instrumentation at Fermilab, starting with the Linac and progressing up in energy to the Tevatron. Since some of the more interesting developments in beam diagnostic equipment and techniques have been motivated by operational problems or accelerator upgrades, this tour will also include comments on the present challenges facing accelerator physicists at Fermilab.
