Description
Early expression of proteins in nuclear and cytosolic extracts of thymocytes was investigated in mice exposed to low-dose ionizing radiation by means of two-dimensional electrophoresis. It was found that there were 4 novel protein spots, 5 protein spots with increased density and 1 protein spot with reduced density in the nuclear fraction as well as 3 novel protein spots and 3 protein spots with increased density in the cytosolic fraction 4 hr after whole-body irradiation with 75 mGy X-rays. The implications of these early gene expression products are discussed
