Description
Remarkable threshold structures have recently been detected in the electron impact vibrational excitation functions of several molecules. A simple formula is derived which reproduces the observed structures. It is found that a non-adiabatic treatment is necessary to explain the threshold phenomena in the vibrational excitation functions of molecules. (author)
