Effects of γ-ray irradiation combined with crude toxin produced by fusarium graminearum on wheat immature embryo in vitro culture

  • 1. Academia Sinica, Beijing (China). Inst. of Genetics

Description

Dry seeds of spring wheat were exposed to 0, 50, 100, 150 Gy γ-ray and grown into M1 plants. The immature embryos were respectively cultured in the media containing 0, 50, 100, 150 or 200 ml/L of crude toxin of Fusarium graminearum. The results showed that the induction frequency of callus, survival rate and the mean growth amount of callus 40 days after inoculation were reduced with the increase of dose of γ-ray or concentration of toxin. Most of dosage effects of combined treatment (γ-ray + toxin) tally with quadratic multinomial regression equation. The activity of phenylalainine aminolyase in regenerated plantlets from 100 ml/L toxin was significantly higher than that of plantlets from no-toxin media
