Description

Design of a storage cell placed in a mass spectrometer ion source and intended for increasing the sensitivity in analysis of gases and vapors is described. A short-term increase in the impurity concentration in a gas flow, directed to the region of ionization, is attained by impurity accumulation on the surface of semicondUctor microprojections and pulse desorption under the effect of electric discharge
