Dosimetry units in health physics and radiotherapy

Description

Suggestions are made for the use of absorbed dose and dose equivalent in radiation protection and radiotherapy, considering the most accurate characterization of radiation effects. The proposal will facilitate the introduction of SI units in the field of dosimetry. The trend of the development of concepts for applying the unit dose equivalent in health physics is discussed.
