Magnetic properties of CuGaS2, CuFeS2 crystals and CuGa1-xFexS2 solid solutions

Description
A continuous set of solid solutions of new magnetic CuGa1-xFexS2 semiconductors has been synthesized by Bridgman's method. It was established that in high-spin and low-spin magnetic states, crystals of new magnetic semiconductors possess different values of effective temperatures: |-100|≤Ο1eff≤|-210| K and |-500|≤Ο2eff≤|-1450| K, respectively. CuGa1-xFexS2 solid solutions are shown to be more stable to the temperature influence as compared with CuFeS2 compounds and possess reversible magnetic characteristics in the 80-800 Ê temperature interval.
