Soft x-ray emission from the direction of the Coma cluster
- 1. Nagoya Univ. (Japan). Dept. of Physics
Description
A soft X-ray source was observed in the direction of the Coma cluster. The flux in the energy range 0.2--0.4 keV was found to change within a time scale shorter than 80 s. The fast transient and the energy spectrum prohibit identification of this source with the Coma cluster. It is suggested that this source belongs to a class of nearby transient soft X-ray sources.
