A model for transfer reactions leading to heavy actinides
Description
A mechanism is proposed to describe the multinucleon transfer reactions leading to heavy actinides, based on the assumption that the clusters separated from the projectile are captured as a whole by the target nucleus. The primary distributions of isotopes are corrected for neutron emission. The predictions of the model are compared with and succeed in describing the cross sections as well as the distributions of the Z = 96-103 isotopes produced in various reactions
