Spin and g-factor of the 40keV level in 45Ti
Description
The g-factor of the second excited state at 40keV in 45Ti has been measured to be -0.03+-0.01 using the 42Ca(α,n)45Ti reaction and the time differential spin-precession method. The spin assignment J=5/2 was made for the level using a statistical compound nucleus calculation. The experimental g-factor is in disagreement with several theoretical predictions
