Description
The effect of small additions of yttrium on the tracer diffusion of Cr in Cr/sub 2/O/sub 3/ has been investigated both on samples sintered from Cr/sub 2/O/sub 3/ powder and on oxide layers formed by the oxidation of Cr metal and Cr-Y alloy. The results contradict some views of the reactive element effect, without, however, elucidating its nature in a completely satisfactory way
