Sources of systematic errors in the determination of the radionuclides content of effluent waters

Description
An analysis of the radionuclide content of waste water proceeds in several stages, including the taking of the effluent sample, its concentration or the chemical isolation of the radionuclide of interest, the preparation of the analysand containing the radionuclide, and the determination of the content of the radionuclide in the analysand. This article, in systematically examining each of these consecutive stages, ascertains the possible sources of error in the entire waste water radionuclide analysis procedure and their consequent role in the discrepancies created in the results
