Description

The U.S. Department of Energy reveals that in the Magnetics program, they are assembling what is called the Large Coil Project in a facility being built at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The facility is shown. In the Plasma Heating Program, a positive ion neutral beam source has been developed at Berkeley. In the Fueling Program, a pneumatic pellet fuel injector was developed. In the Tritium Handling Program, tritium will be introduced upon final approval. In the High Heat Flux Component Development Program, they have recently installed and started testing pumped limiter on the TEXTOR tokamak reactor in the Federal Republic of Germany. In the materials area, there are two points. One is the Rotating Target Neutron Source, and the Fusion Materials Irradiation Test Facility
