Time evolution of the neck in the entrance channel of a heavy ion reaction
- 1. Rensselaer Polytechnic Inst., Troy, NY (USA). Dept. of Physics
Description
Classical dynamical model has been used to study the formation of a neck in the early stages of a heavy ion collision. The time evolution of the neck is shown as a function of mass or charge of the approaching ions, bombarding energy and angular momentum. (author)
