On the evaluation of self-diffusion enhancement of Pb by additions of Cu, Ag and Au

Description

Abstract An expression for the linear enhancement factor for dissociative impurities in f.c.c. lattices is developed. This factor is computed for the case of Pb at 300°C as a function of the interstitial-vacancy binding energy, the bound-vacancy to free vacancy jump frequency ratio, and the fraction of the impurity atoms in free interstitial sites.
