The Monoliths

This paper describes some fundamental aspects related to the manufacture and properties of monolithic catalysts as well as the most important applications of catalysts currently utilized for abating CO, HC and Nox emissions from gasoline engines and industrial processes, selective catalytic reduction of Nox with ammonia as a reducing agent and power plant combustion. Besides, emphasis about the advantages of these technologies and new applications with the associated technical challenges are outlined
