Helicity injection relaxation in spherical torus plasmas
- 1. Himeji Inst. of Tech., Hyogo (Japan)
Description
In the HIST experiment, the spherical tokamak-like configuration with the toroidal current reaching 150 kA, which is much greater than previously attained, has been formed successfully by coaxial helicity injection. The internal magnetic structures of the helicity-driven spherical tokamak have been manifested. In addition, we present that as the external toroidal field increases the toroidal current raises and also the hollow current profile are enhanced substantially. (author)
