Transverse electric field effect on longitudinal particle acceleration in the magnetosphere
Creators
Description
The longitudinal acceleration of particles in the magnetosphere is investigated. The longitudinal acceleration is caused by joint effect on a particle motion of transverse electric field and curvature of magnetic force lines. It is assumed, that particle collisions and wave-particle interaction are absent. It is shown that the presence of transverse magnetospheric electric field results in longitudinal acceleration of a charged particle in case of its movement along the curved geomagnetic force line
