Self-similar cylindrical shock waves in magnetohydrodynamics

Description

Similarity solutions of flows behind a cylindrical shock wave in magnetogasdynamics are investigated. The shock is assumed to be propagating in a medium at rest with non-uniform density permeated by an azimuthal magnetic field. The flows with zero temperature gradient are considered and total energy of flow is assumed to be time-dependent. (author)
