Rehabilitation of the aquifers contaminated upon the underground leaching of uranium

Description

Natural and artificial rehabilitation of aquifers contaminated in the course of underground uranium leaching at site N10 of Southern Bukinay uranium deposit (Uzbekistan) are studied. It found that after 1 years of natural rehabilitation the area of contaminated ground waters has curtailed, but insignificantly. After 2 years of artificial rehabilitation by means of forced demineralization the contaminated area has decreased several times, the concentration of contaminants has reduced, as well. The results of computerized simulation of both types of rehabilitation processes are discussed
