Design of Hybrid Power System for Remote Area

Description
This paper describes the results of designing hybrid power system (HPS) for remote area. The design of this system combines three sources of renewable energy, namely wind energy, photovoltaic, and biomass. Design using HOMER software that analyzes system performance from optimization and economic aspect. The design recommendations indicate that all electrical energy demand in the study area is met with 80.27% of total production. The existence of batteries in the system is able to minimize the value of excess electricity. (paper)
