Synthesis and structure of ternary Tc and Rh sulfides
Description
A melting reaction of alkali metal carbonate with elemental Tc or Rh in a sulphur-burdened argon or hydrogen flow produced ternary Tc and Rh sulfides. A structural analysis was carried out in all cases by means of radiographic investigations of monocrystals. Common characteristic structural elements of all compounds are nearly undistorted [M6S8]S6 cluster elements. This was the first proof of the existence of cluster elements of this type in technetium chemistry. (orig./EF)

Durch Schmelzreaktion von Alkalimetallcarbonat mit elementarem Technetium bzw. Rhenium in einem mit Schwefel beladenen Argon- oder Wasserstoffstrom gelang die Darstellung ternaerer Technetium- und Rheniumsulfide. Die Strukturbestimmung wurde in allen Faellen ueber roentgenographische Untersuchungen an Einkristallen durchgefuehrt. Gemeinsam sind allen Verbindungen nahezu unverzerrte [M6S8]S6-Clustereinheiten als charakteristische Strukturelemente. Fuer die Chemie des Technetiums konnten damit erstmals Clustereinheiten dieser Art sicher nachgewiesen werden. (orig./EF)Additional details
