Accretion disks in quasars
Description
Disk accretion onto a supermassive black hole was suggested more than ten years ago, as a source of energy in quasars ond other active galactic nuclei. Recent observations of spectra and variability of the nuclei allow us to confront the theory with the observational data. A review of progress in this field is presented. 6 figs. (author)
