Influence of withdrawal speed for the process dip-coating used for applying the silanes precursors on the substrate of titanium

Description

The titanium surface was modified by a hybrid film composed of silane, which efficient shows change in properties as roughness and wettability and thus to obtain a surface with the greatest potential to become bioactive. In this context, it is necessary to evaluate some parameters that influence in the acquisition and application of the film process. Therefore the aim of this study is to evaluate different curing temperatures the hybrid film and of speed withdrawal for the dip-coating process, to application of silane film. The samples were characterized by thermochemical, physicochemical and morphological tests. Analyses indicate that the temperature of 300 ° C gave the film a good cross-linking and the withdrawal speed of 30 cm.min-1 promoted a uniform film, giving a hydrophobic behavior compared to other systems.
