This standard applies to self-contained, dry source storage irradiators that contain sealed gamma emitting sources for the irradiation of objects or materials. Criteria are established for the proper design, fabrication, installation, use and maintenance of these irradiators, which will insure a high degree of radiation safety at all times. Requirements are categorized as manufacturer's responsibility, owner's responsibility, and general considerations
