Radiographic investigations into high-active aerosol particles in the Chernobyl 30-km zone in 1989-1991
- 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Fiziko-Khimicheskij Inst., Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
Investigations are carried out by radiographing of separate areas of frontal layers of sorption-filtering (SFM) and multilayer filtering materials for which aerosol samples have been selected. According to the obtained data as to the volume and radioactivity one can determine concentration and average radioactivity of aerosol particles in the air. The results of radiographic analysis are presented. It is emphasized that in all samples there have been present high-active aerosol particles containing γ-β and α-active nuclides. The particles make marks in the forms of dark spots and spots on photographs. The measured γ-activity of aerosol particles is in the range of 0.1 to 9 Bq/particle. 1 refs.; 2 figs
