Studying of power defect and power coefficient in reactor core physics tests of NPP

  • 1. Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center, MEP, Beijing (China)

Description

A series of tests is necessary to perform in the first critical and subsequent nuclear fuel cycle of nuclear power plant (NPP). In these tests the core physics tests are to testify the core design calculation. Taking account of NPP reactor difference in China there are kinds of core physics test management files. At present, core physics test file (core physics test surveillance program GORX) is already defined as one part of technical specification in FSAR, as similar with France. Herein there are some controversies whether the power defect and power coefficient need to be included in GORX or not. Based on technical issue as well as domestic and abroad standard regulations this point is studied, moreover its measurement method is discussed, in this paper. (authors)
