Method of manufacturing heat-receiving plate for thermonuclear device
Description
Purpose: To manufacture a heat-receiving plate capable of preventing destruction resulted to the side of a plasma surface material in the cooling step of brazing and having long life to cyclic thermal load. Method: A chamferred recess of 1/4 arc is formed at the corner of joined end face of a plasma surface material made of high melting and low sputtering rate material such as tungsten, material of low atom number such as Si or graphite and heat resistant ceramics. Further, the chamfered recess is also formed to the corner of the joined end face of the cooling material made of metal of high heat conductivity such as copper and both of them are joined. As a result, it is possible to obtain a heat-receiving plate capable of reducing the tensile stress in the direction of the plate thickness resulted in the step of the brazing cooling and reducing the shearing strength.
