Uranium metallogenic conditions in Furong area, Ningxiang County, Hunan Province

Description
Based on the previous regional geological research results and the historical uranium exploration data of our unit in Furong area, the uranium metallogenic geological conditions are summarized and analyzed, and the prospecting potential of uranium deposits is evaluated. The study shows that Furong area belongs to Xuefengshan uranium metallogenic subzone of Xuefengshan-Motianling uranium metallogenic belt. There are abundant uranium-rich rock assemblages of Sinian, Cambrian, Permian black rock series, carbonate rock, siliceous rock and sandstone, which is the most important uranium-rich horizon in central and South China; The late Indosinian-Yans-hanian multi-stage magmatic activity in this area is intense, tending to potassic enrichment, muscovitization and high uranium content in the rock mass; There are large-scale basement faults, which control rocks, basins and minerals. The tectonic activity lasts for a long time, has multi-directional characteristics, and low-order and low-grade structures are well developed. In the past, some uranium minerals have been explored, a large number of uranium mineralization (anomaly) zones have been found, and radioactive geophysical prospecting and hydrochemical anomalies have been developed. The area and Lujing uranium ore field have great similarities in regional geological setting and uranium metallogenic geological conditions, and have good uranium metallogenic conditions and prospecting potential.
