Preparation of 90Sr spiked milk powder

This paper introduces preparation, determination and homogeneity check of a 90Sr spiked milk powder sample. The results show that the specific activity of the sample is 5.27 Bq/kg. When the amount of sample is 5.0 g, the sample shows very good homogeneity(F=2.357, less than F0.05=3.55). A satisfactory results was achived in application of such a spiked sample in the Guangdong-and-Hongkong intercomparison measurement for radiation accident emergency, which is organized by China Institute for Radiation Protection.
