Impact load of ARK assembly of WWER-440 reactor at seismic excitation

Description

A mathematical model was set up for determining the earthquake resistance of the emergency control assembly of the WWER-440 reactor. In this model, allowance is made for the motion of bodies with plastic impacts and for the sticking of bodies to stops. Results of calculations of transient seismic phenomena in the emergency control assembly system are given. Numerical simulation of the motion of this system revealed that during a seismic disturbance of the Nis type lasting 6 sec, 24 to 43 shocks occur in four points along the assembly. The mean and the maximum shock velocities are as high as 60 and 120 mm/sec, respectively. These data form a basis for an additional strength analysis for assessing the earthquake resistance of the WWER-440 reactor emergency control assembly. (Z.M.). 8 figs., 1 tab., 4 refs
