Description

The applying of remote sensing technology should through out the regional geological survey. In this survey, its leading and foundation role must be given full play. In this area. band TM/ETM5, 4, 3 colour combination is the best combination method. Among the 6 band merging methods which includes Principal Component Transform, Multiplicative Transform, Brovery Transform, High-Pass Filter. Wavelet transform and Intensity Hue Saturation, the Wavelet transform is the best one. The update of the road information by using of remote sensing image contributes to the improvement of efficiency and quality in map plotting. Litho-stratigraphies and structures are interpreted by using RGB (5, 4, 3) false color image which is merged by panchromatic band as basis image, the synthesis of another color images and grey images of the single band as assisting images. Iron alteration anomaly and argillization anomaly were extracted by using combining methods. In the meanwhile, the interpretation of the Litho-stratigraphies, structures and the extraction of mineralization were well proven. In a word, remote sensing technology has its unique advantages in updating route information, identifying rock natures, interpreting rock structures and extracting abnormal mineralization. (authors)
