Mirror waves nonlinear dynamics. THEMIS observations

  • 1. Sheffield University (United Kingdom)

Description

Complete text of publication follows. High resolution plasma and magnetic field data are used to validate analytical models of nonlinear mirror waves dynamics. Relation between threshold of instability and ips/peaks structures is investigated. It is shown that only models that account for multiple plasma population can explain observed mirror waves structures.
